re:Connect - Touch : Reiki & Partner Yoga Workshop
“But hands are sacred things. Touch is personal, fingers of love, feelers of blind eyes, tongues of those who cannot talk…”
― Keri Hulme, The Bone People
As part of the re:Connect series, we are introducing the healing touch of reiki in connection with partner yoga. In this workshop, understand more about reiki as an energy therapy, receive heart attunement and through gentle partner yoga poses, allow the energy to be passed on from your hands to your partner.
Reiki is a form of complementary energy therapy that activates the body's natural healing process, promoting a sense of calmness and restoring balance on all levels, physical, mental and emotional. Our body has its own healing wisdom, and the Reiki energy will be used by the body to help heal, rejuvenate and reinvigorate. Reiki helps to reduce stress, anxiety and depression. It also increases feelings of peace and inner calm and helps to booster your immune system.
This is an interactive, hands-on workshop. Crystal singing bowls may be used in the background during the workshop to provide intuitive sound healing during partner yoga to enhance the overall experience.
NB: Individual participants are welcome and we will help you to pair up during the workshop.
Schedule: 8 April 2017, Saturday. 10-1130am (90 mins)
Location : Mountbatten, 6-8mins walk from the MRT (exact address & details will be emailed to confirmed participants one week before the workshop)

About the facilitators:
Ming Li is the rare certified Forrest Yoga teacher in Singapore and is drawn to the healing practice developed by Ana Forrest. As a Reiki master, Ming Li also provides craniosacral therapy under the Visionary Craniosacral Work® framework through private remedial bodywork sessions
In her classes & private healing sessions, she prefers to assume the role of a facilitator, sharing from a place of authenticity and providing a safe space to guide students & clients. At the same time, she also challenges them to explore their edge while being at peace with the unknown. This tough love comes from a desire to empower people eventually to take charge of their healing, and have fun falling and picking themselves up.
Elaine Yang is a Usui Reiki Teacher trained under The Reiki Centre Singapore. She has been teaching Reiki since 2012, and a Reiki healer since 2011. Elaine introduced Crystal Bowl Sound healing into her practice in 2016, after experiencing how the sacred sound vibrations complement and deepen a Reiki session, in a retreat that she was co-facilitating in Numinbah Valley, Australia.
Elaine’s work as a healer and teacher is to empower those who come to her. She shines a light where it is needed, so her clients and students see how they can heal themselves, through Reiki and awareness. Elaine opens the door for her clients to gain insight in her healing sessions, and to connect with their authentic self. Find Elaine at http://www.reiki-glow.com/
