Forrest Yoga Workshop series : Free Your Back

Journey with us into the world of Forrest Yoga!

Learn to breathe deeply and connect with your body. Get curious about tracking the sensations with every breath, particularly while healing physical or emotional injuries. Experience how the poses can be modified to fit your own body physiology, at your own pace. Be content with a simpler variation or when feeling energised, be equipped with a safe practice to explore your own boundaries. Play with a mix of vigorous workouts and longer holds. Most importantly, allow yourself a struggle-free practice and receive plenty of juicy hands-on assists!

These series of 4-week workshops are carefully crafted in order for you to gradually deepen the connection between your breath, mind and body. 

We limit a maximum of 10 students per workshop to ensure quality of attention for each student. (min 6 to start each workshop series) 

Note: If you are under the care of a physician for back-related issues, please get clearance from your doctor before starting a group yoga practice. Free your back - Level 1 : Foundation

Experience the healing benefits of Forrest Yoga principles for your back in this workshop series. Learn how to create more space in your lower, middle and upper back in order to soften into your daily challenges. Build a stronger foundation with your core and legs to provide the support you need for a healthy spine. 

Who should attend
Beginners who have had some basic yoga practice (at least 10 classes in the past 6 months) OR have recently completed the Introduction to Forrest Yoga.

Free your back - Level 2 :  The warrior's heart

Building on the foundation, take it one step further by opening your heart, freeing up your physical body and releasing tension from your back. Take the brave-hearted warrior's path - even when you feel vulnerable, shaky or scared - use your breath, go on a deep exploration and find the authenticity in your life. Learn to warm up and warm down safely while working on beginner backbend poses with the support of yoga props and the "famous" abdominal roll.  

Who should attend
Practitioners who have had some basic yoga practice (at least once a week in the past 6 months) OR have recently completed Free your back - Level 1

    Ming Li is a certified Forrest Yoga teacher in Singapore and is drawn to the healing practice developed by Ana Forrest, incorporating yoga asanas, breath work, mindfulness and intuitive energy at a physical and emotional level.

    In her classes, Ming Li prefers to assume the role of a facilitator, sharing from a place of authenticity and providing a safe space to guide students through their practice. At the same time, she also challenges them to explore their edge while being at peace with the unknown. This tough love comes from a desire to empower students eventually to take charge of their healing, and have fun falling and picking themselves up.

    Ming Li continues to study under the mentorship of Forrest Yoga guardians and is continually inspired by the energy of the global Forrest Yoga tribe. She loves teaching yoga to kids with special needs, is a certified Reiki 3 practitioner and does private bodywork sessions.
