Adaptive Yoga: 3-wk series
The practice and benefits of yoga can made accessible across all age groups, physical & emotional health. Our premise has always been about adapting the yoga practice and breath work to the person rather than the other way around, through the use of props like chairs, walls, towels or even cushions.
This is a 3-week series of Adaptive Yoga for seniors over 60. These sessions are gentle breath and practical yoga movements focusing on different areas each week – Neck & shoulders, Core & spine, Hips & lower back. Most of the movements will be done seated on the chair, with variations for standing if possible. Focus on flexibility and building balance & stability. For senior folks above 60 – (Max 4 participants)
